Import Autocad Script Error in SketchUp

Postby kfishman on Fri Jan 15, 2010 8:40 pm

When I try to import a Land F/X plant file, I get this SketchUp script error in a popup window :

Internet Explorer Script Error
An error has occurrred in the script on this page.
Line: 283
Char: 6
Error: 'FPATH' is undefined
Code: 0
URL: file: //C:Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 7\Plugins\Landfx\components.htm
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Yes or No.

If I select yes, the Land F/X Import window shows blank components and nothing happens. If I say no, nothing happens. I've checked my file paths, and the "components.htm" is in the correct file. Also, I'm running SketchUp 7.1.

I'm actually not sure what happens at this point. If working, are the plants supposed to appear on the SketchUp base file?

One other related issue, when assigning components. After assigning, when I select "view", most of the time I get a "file not found" message. Sometimes it opens the SketchUp model for the plant.

Thanks.

As for the View button, that is correct, it is only looking at components that have already been downloaded, so it does tend to say File Not Found too often. I will adjust it to download components on the fly.

As for the error with FPATH, I can only think of two possibilities. First, your SketchUp Language setting could be incorrect. From the Window menu, select Ruby Console. Then type into the box:
Code: Select all
$language

It should report "enu".

If it does, then let's check on the path to LandFX. It doesn't have an apostrophe anywhere, does it? As in, X:\Bob's CAD Files\LandFX

I'm not having any luck with the Ruby Console. I type "CODE: SELECT ALL" and get a syntax error 894. Same if I type "$ language". Also, I checked my system preferences from the Window menu in SketchUp. All file paths are set to the My Documents folder. That seems strange to me. I don't remember directing them anywhere in particular.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Kai

Just type $language
there is no space between the dollar sign and the word "language".

Sorry, I misunderstood. Okay, it gave me "enu".

Then the only other possibility is the path to LandFX.
From the AutoCAD Tools menu, Options, Files tab, Support File Search Path, what is the primary LandFX path?

We'll need to do a GotoMeeting to diagnose this.
Give us a call when you get a chance.

I have been having the same problem. If you could post the solution you figured out, that would be great. Thanks!

I am getting the same error. It is in the Land F/X Select Component dialog box. It opens, and shows the default page of conifer symbols, but when i try to change to deciduous or shrubs it just says there was a script errror.
Line:106
Char: 5
Error: Write to file failed
Code: 0
URL: https://www.landfx.com/sketchup/compone ... lder=trees

Then it asks if I want to keep running scripts yes or no.

I tried the $language in ruby console and got enu, and my internet security seems set to the right settings. I don't know how else to fix it.

It is attempting to download either the JPG preview, or the actual SKP component, and failing.
Have you restarted your computer? If the system needed to adjust your internet security settings, it may require a reboot. Secondly, confirm in your LandFX/SketchUp folder, that you have a Slides subfolder, and you can save a file into this folder. Also confirm there is a LandFX/SketchUp/Planview folder, that you can also save a file into.

In this case the problem was when selecting a different folder of components, the dialog was not refreshing correctly.
It was traced to an error on our new server, and has been fixed.
