Land F/X is looking to partner with individuals across the globe to assist in the sales process. Although knowledge of the software is not critical, it is certainly a bonus. In countries where a localized language version would be advantageous, you could also assist with translation efforts. We have an attractive commission-based representative system, and attending regional trade shows with our staff would also be included. If you may be interested in this, or know someone who might, please contact Katie Farmer.
Currently, Land F/X has signed an agreement with Gardens Leader for distributing our software throughout the Middle East, and we are currently negotiating distributorships in Russia and Australia.
Australia is a new market we are trying to reach out to. Recently, Jeremiah and Katie Farmer went to the Irrigation Australia 2010 Conference and it was a great success. We sold some licenses, and met some future potential clients. The people were amazing and friendly, and had some great questions for us!

Success Story
Every month, Land F/X highlights a success story from one of our valued clients. This month we are featuring Mia Lehrer and Associates, an award winning landscape architecture firm that is dedicated to revitalizing the city through highly creative, sustainable and community-integrated design. A special thanks to Jeff Hutchins, their CAD manager and one of the principals, for submitting this month's success story.
Jeff has used Land F/X since 2007, and is the "go-to when it comes to CAD issues and production, so [he] gets to hear it all." He describes Land F/X as "flexible enough to be able to solve any hang ups we have in efficient production." In fact, "the office is so confident now with Land F/X that they only give me about two days to do a complete irrigation plan. And I have no problem with that!"
Land F/X was used for the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles. Jeff describes the project as "an interesting arrangement, because we are working under an architect and the contractor is already on board doing the renovations. Since we were brought on a little bit late, the project has been split into three different phases, all on different construction schedules. We are essentially designing one project that has three different deadlines, and Land F/X has allowed us to do that easily."

Some of his favorite features have come in handy during this project, such as the work area, the cap element and LFX's Reference Notes. Jeff goes on to describe Land F/X beneficial features: "In order to keep the project tracking efficiently, we are utilizing the Work Area feature extensively. We also need to keep the irrigation plan linked, and using the cap element has made this a seamless process. The construction plans are a breeze now that the Reference Notes can be manipulated so easily. As an example, we are continuously adding elements such as benches, structures, and bridges. We can add these to the schedule in any order, and the renumbering is automatic. As the associatd details are inserted into the drawings and moved around to fit other details, all of the callouts and associations are updated automatically. Re-associating the callouts would have taken hours between the three projects, so Land F/X has saved us tons of time."
When asked what his favorite features of Land F/X are, Jeff replied, "Construction Detail organization, automated legends and take offs."

Unbeatable Tech Support Service
We at Land F/X pride ourselves in our efficient, helpful, and considerate technical support staff. A client of ours, Bryan Spangle, with Hudson and Pacific Alliance, raved about the LFX benefits: "You are the only support service that I feel I am getting my money for. You guys are excellent."
We have devised a way for our users to get the fastest response possible to an issue or question, and that is to submit a technical support ticket.
To submit a ticket, select F/X-Admin from the drop down menu, and select "Technical Support."
This will open a ticket window where you can type your issue and click Send.
This is the best course of action to get an issue submitted to Land F/X Support. It will guarantee all support staff gets the message at the same time, which will result in faster response times.
Submitting a ticket is also what one should do for irrigation requests/changes.
Step by step instructions on how to submit a ticket using Bricscad and AutoCAD can be found here.
We have also added an assortment of new hatch patterns. To get all of the new patterns, just submit a tech ticket to our support team and they will process your request.
Many of our users also have new feature requests. We are constantly taking the time to network with other landscape and irrigation designers to make this the best program out there. John Conte, a long time client of ours, was thrilled when he saw one of his requests implemented into LFX, and stated, "Thank you for taking my suggestion and making it a reality. I cannot tell you how gratifying it is to feel like my voice is heard in your organization." Let your own voice be heard, and create your feature request by logging into our community forum.
