As of version 5.30 (2009-02-06), the default Land F/X database is a MySQL database.
Legacy Visual FoxPro database installations (with a landfx.dbc file located in the LandFX\Data folder) should instead contact us for porting their install to MySQL.
The automated Workstation Setup is new as of version 6.63 (2010-05-12).
Download the file here:
Choose Save when promted
and save it to the LandFX folder on the server overwriting the old version.
(if using firefox, please move it from your download directory ususally being your desktop)
For a new station, you can just run that Setup, and it should get any version of AutoCAD perfect for Land F/X.
For an existing station, you can run that Setup whenever you need to configure an AutoCAD version for Land F/X. Select either Modify or Repair, and you will be able to select an Acad version to configure.
Well, here's the Manual solution:
1 Control Panel
In the Control Panel, under Administrative Tools, Data Sources, on the System DSN tab, is an entry for LandFX -- confirm that its Properties have the correct database server name, and click Test to test the connection to the server (note that the username and database settings are irrelevant).
2 AutoCAD Support File Search Path
In AutoCAD, right click on the command line, select Options -- the first tab is Files, the first entry is Support File Search Path. You need to confirm the LandFX folder is included in there.
3 AutoCAD Menu Group
Finally, you should be able to type MENULOAD at the AutoCAD command line, enter LANDFX.MNU into the filename box, and click the Load button.
