Land F/X Font Organization System Land F/X stresses simplicity by focusing on a limited number of logical font types, allowing the user to develop a sound set of office standard fonts, and freeing the user from having to wade through a sea of non standard fonts. Land F/X automatically manages the fonts and font styles, and frees the user from most of the font and text input tedium. Some of the powerful features of having Land F/X compliant fonts includes: § Maintenance of office standards and CAD management of the standard fonts used by the office. § Unique font styles that relate to a specific project to be automatically active when that project is open by any drawing. § The project and office standard fonts can be easily changed and will reflect the change in future drawings. § Fonts are sized by “point size” in the font style, and will be automatically scaled for the same output no matter if they are entered into Model Space of varying scales, or Paper Space. § The fonts of a drawing can be changed throughout the drawing all at one time with the Land F/X Change Text function.. Land F/X Default Fonts AutoCAD installs a number of *.shx font types, as well as a limited number of True Type fonts, which are added with the other True Type fonts installed by Windows or other programs. The default fonts that have been added to the Land F/X database represent a limited number of font types to form a basic foundation for font style usage. The Land F/X default font approach is to use the standard fonts supplied by AutoCAD, both *.shx and True Type fonts. In this manner, a drawing sent to another AutoCAD user should be able to be viewed and plotted as the sender intended, as both parties should have the same fonts within the AutoCAD support path. Default Fonts The Land F/X default fonts are indicated in the Font Manager dialog box, within the Font Specifications drop down listing: Font Manager dialog box, Font drop down listing within the Font Specifications. These font types are saved within the Land F/X database, and the user can add to this list with their own font types, see Add User Defined Fonts later in this section. Land F/X Font Styles Font Style Preferences Land F/X has a number of font and text styles that are entered into the database by default.
