Land F/X inserts details into Paper Space much like schedules and notes. This greatly speeds up the detail insertion and display process.

The User may have a standard Detail sheet template that has an existing non-plot grid into which details can be placed. Land F/X offers a Detail Sheet Template function that will draw an appropriate grid on the fly, of any rectangular shape.
You will be prompted for the Upper Left Window of the sheet template. After clicking at that location, move the curser towards the lower right corner of the sheet template. The template will be viewed as you move the curser, indicating the size and number of detail modules, with the maximum possible detail modules spaced evenly through the area.
Click the location of the lower right corner when you are satisfied with the sheet template layout.

Important! You may only place details onto a single layout tab within each drawing. Land F/X will associate the DWG with the sheet, so you are limited to having details only placed on a single paperspace tab within each drawing.
With a Sheet Template available as a guide, insert the details that have been added to the project, but have not yet been inserted into a sheet.
Open the Detail Manager and select a detail to insert. The first time you insert a detail into a drawing, you will have to indicate what sheet number that drawing is, so the database can keep track of what detail and sheet number each detail is.

When you select OK you will be prompted for the detail number:

The system will automatically suggest the next available number. You can assign any detail number you wish, and the system will verify that there are no other details on the current sheet with the specified number in use.
The outline of the detail module size of the detail you are inserting will appear at the cross hairs, with the insertion point at the lower left corner. Move the detail to the lower left corner of the appropriate Detail Sheet Template module where you want the detail to appear,
The AutoCAD Object Snap is automatically turned on when inserting a detail, with the snap set to Intersection. In this way, you will be consistent in where you insert your details. The Object Snap will then automatically be turned off after detail insertion.
The detail is inserted and automatically scaled to fit into Paper Space. Any callouts in the current drawing that are referencing that detail will be filled out with the correct number and sheet number.
Now the project database will automatically relate this detail to the location and sheet number you placed it. This location will be referenced to the Planting and Irrigation Schedules, Reference Notes, or detail callout within any other drawing of the project. If you should delete the detail and place it at another location on this sheet or any other sheet, the new location will automatically be the new detail indication.
