Graphics : Snap Angle

Snap Angle

Snap Angle is a valuable graphics tool that allows you to instantly orient the crosshairs axis to match the angle of a selected entity, or any desired angle, either typed or visually specified.

After selecting the Snap Angle function, the crosshairs will be replaced with just a pick box. Select a line or polyline (or interior polyline segment) and Snap Angle will orient the crosshairs to that entity. For circles and arcs, the function will select the tangent angle to the selected location.

Snap Angle also gives you the option of typing in a numeric value for the new crosshair angle. If you select no entity and just the background, Snap Angle will present you with a bounding line to manually select your new crosshair angle.

Snap Angle works on lines and any segment of a polyline, circle and arc, and these entities within an X-Ref or block. The exception to this is a nested block or X-Ref within an X-Ref. Snap Angle works with the World Coordinate as well as a End User defined End User Coordinate System.
