Landscape Concept Plans

 

Diagrammatic Concept Graphics

Watch the video on placing diagrammatic conceptual graphics such as nodes, lines, site elements, and view points.

Do This:

§
Open the drawing 1.01 Base Drawing, or any other site plan. Open or start a project and set the scale.
§
Place and scale a node into the drawing.
§
Draw some Concept Lines, for instance, in the bike path. Be sure and click the box to place arrows at each end.
§
Place a Concept Site Element, such as a soccer or baseball field.

 

Placing Material Objects into the Plan

Watch the video on placing Material Objects such as people, cars, furniture, etc. into the Concept Plan. Read the Topic.

Do This:

 

Concept Plant Manager

Watch the video on creating a Concept Plant Palette.

Do This:

§
Open an existing, or create a new, Land F/X project. Go to the Concept Plant Manager and add some design groups, select a symbol to represent the design group, add some notes to describe the design group, and go to Add by Name to add some plants to the palette of plants to represent this group.

 

Placing Concept Plants

Watch the video on placing Concept Plants into the drawing. Read the Topic.

Do This:

§
In Model Space of the project above, place some of your design group symbols into the drawing.

 

Placing Text and Leaders

Watch the video on placing text callouts or titles into the drawing, and place some leaders into the plan.

Do This:

§
On your Concept Plan, place a text style, titles, such as ARIAL 16PT, into Model Space, then go to Paper Space and repeat the function near where you placed text into Model Space, to compare the two.
§
Place a leader to the text you placed into Model Space, and do the same for the text in Paper Space. Place several styles of leaders.
