Add a Block to the Database

§

Open the drawing Tutorial\7.01 RainBird-8005 of an irrigation head. Use the Add Block function to add this block to the Land F/X database. As this is an irrigation detail component, place the block in the Detail_Components folder. The Add Block function will automatically create a slide and sync the file to make the block instantly available for selection and use from one of the Land F/X menus.

§	Click on the detail Components. Go to 02-Sitework / Irrigation / Heads and see the block ready for insertion. Use the View button if you want the block insertion to be scaled or rotated upon insertion.

 

Add a Hatch to the Database

§	At any location, make a polyline boundary and add one of your user defined custom hatches. Use the Add a Hatch function to quickly add this hatch to the data base. Use the View button in the Hatch Patterns function to alter the scale as desired of the new hatch.

 

BatchMan

§	Review the powerful BatchMan function to perform batch operations on any number of files at one time. Learn the Change Layer Names and Colors BatchMan feature to control the layer names and line colors on any number of files at one time.

 

Data Manager

§	Learn the power of the useful Data Manager function to manage the data within Land F/X, Sync the database, print reports, and get Land F/X updates.

 

Adding Tools

§	Learn the various Adding Tools such as Area Count, Length Total, and Block Count.

 

Modify Tools

§	Learn the various Modify Tools such as Change Text, Change Line Color, Delete Layer, and Mtext Break.
