Concept Plants are a more generalized version of a Planting Plan and expresses the intent of the design and plant palette. This is done with planting groups rather than individual plants, and communicates the designers conceptual intent.
Land F/X provides methods to quickly produce Concept Plans and any data entered into the project for the conceptual work is directly available for input into the Planting Plan construction documents.
The Concept Plant Manager manages the plants and design groups for a project’s Concept Plan. You must open an existing project, or create a new project, to be able to access the Concept Plant Manager.
The Concept Plant Manager allows the user to add plants to the Plant Palette, edit the names of the plants, and associate plants and assign symbols for Plant Design Groups.
The Concept Plant Manager dialog box creates and organizes Plant Design Groups. These groups represent general categories of types of plants that apply to the project. Examples of Plant Design Groups might include:
The list of possible Plant Design Groups is endless. With each design group the user will assign a symbol to represent that group on the plan, and add a plant palette to the design group. The plant palette may consist of only one plant, but several plants that fulfill the intent of the design group may give the designer more flexibility.

Plant Design Groups are organized into four categories: Trees, Shrubs, Shrub Areas, and Ground Covers. When you click on the button next to one of these categories, the Plant Design Groups for that category will be displayed.
