With the pickbox select either a placed detail or a callout referencing a detail. Note that you can also select the Detail File Number of a recently saved detail. The selected detail's original AutoCAD drawing will open. Edit the detail as required.

If the editing is to pertain to all future use of this detail, simply save changes to the drawing.

If the editing creates a variation of the original detail, save the detail as a Standard Detail or a Component Detail using the Save Detail feature. When the system asks if you wish to overwrite the existing detail, select No to enter a new detail number and title. If you wish to change the Title of the detail, you can select Yes to overwrite, which will bring up the Save Detail dialog and allow you to edit the detail title.

When you select Update Details all of the details on the sheet will be redefined into the drawing from their original locations, and will retain their current numbering system. This will result in any editing changes that were performed to be reflected throughout the sheet.

After selecting Update Details, a dialog box will indicate that all details in the current drawing have been updated with their most current versions.
