When the drawing is ready to be associated with a specific project, simply select Project Files and open the required project, or create a new project if none exists. When you save and reopen the drawing, the selected project will automatically be the current project.

Click on the “New” button to start a new project.
The Project Number has to be a unique number in relation to the other projects in the office. It can be up to eight characters, and be any combination of letters, numbers, or symbols (other than an apostrophe).
The Project Name is simply your office name for the project, and does not necessarily need to be unique from one project to another, i.e., you may have several “Smith Residence” projects.
If you wish, you can base the new project on an existing Template. A Template is nothing more than a previous project that, when completed, you believe would apply to many other projects, and so saved it as a Template in the Project Files dialog box.
When you go to the Land F/X pulldown down menu, the name of the current active project will be indicated just below the function Project Files, in this case the active project is named “Smith Project”.

The Project Manager is the main dialog box for a specific project, where you can get a quick overview of the project and access the Project Data.

The Project Number and Name is displayed at the top. The Project Description is optional, depending on your needs.
The Sheet Index listing can be developed when the project is first started, or added as the project develops. With the Sheet Index:
Assigning a specific sheet number to a single dwg is not necessary for most functions of Land F/X, and can be a convenience as mentioned above. Where it becomes most important is when Land F/X details are inserted into a drawing, as they need a reference to a detail number on a specific sheet number.
