This project was designed to enhance outdoor entertaining. The client has a large backyard that drops off to a cliff near the back and they wanted to utilize as much space as possible between the cliff and the home. The pool and spa are positioned down low in the backyard in order to retain the view of the hills from the living areas of the home. In addition, multiple seating areas are incorporated throughout the plan. One of the seating areas is positioned looking in between the existing trees so as to have an unobstructed view of the pool and outlying hill country. Multiple boulder walls, flagstone stairs and planting areas create a very naturalistic feel in this outdoor environment.
