Yes, you'll be able to open and view Civil3D objects, you would just not be able to edit the surfaces or other 3D objects.

We have you covered! F/X CAD is for a single activation, however it can be installed on multiple computers.  Using our License Transfer tool, you can move your license from your home computer, to your laptop, to your work computer.

If you have certain AutoLISP features that you use, chances are, we can recreate them and fold them into Land F/X.

You can upgrade your F/X CAD to the next version for only $250. As long as you keep your Land F/X or Irrigation F/X license current, you do not have to upgrade your F/X CAD every year. If you decide to skip years it will take five years to accrue up to $1995, where you would just repurchase a new F/X CAD license.

You will need the internet to access the Irrigation and Plant database. We moved to an internet base database for both of those features this last year. There were a few reasons for doing so, first, it would make the yearly renewal fees lower for clients because it's an easier database to maintain for us. Secondly, since it's live data, it would allow us to update any plant or irrigation information instantly, which allows you to have the most current up to date information without having to update the software manually to get updated Rain Bird information. Third, it made our installer lighter and quicker. For the "no" part of the answer2, is that if you don't have internet available, you can use plants and irrigation heads from a previous project. That would be the work around if your internet was done or you were working on the road and didn't have internet.

Yes, it requires AutoCAD or Civil3D 2008 to 2014, BricsCAD Pro V13, or our F/X CAD.

No.  AutoCAD LT does not allow add-ons.  Please see our F/X CAD product which is based upon AutoCAD LT.

F/X CAD is a fully legitimate AutoCAD license, supported and maintained by us, at half the cost of a full AutoCAD license.  It is limited in functionality similar to AutoCAD LT, please see our F/X CAD page for a list of capabilities.

A robust CAD workstation is recommended, particularly if you will be doing a lot of SketchUp rendering, or work with many Xrefs from other disciplines.  We recommend using a dedicated Server to host the Land F/X data and files in your office.  Please see our System Requirements Page for more information.

Yes.  You can install Land F/X to as many computers as you like, including laptops.  You can use our License Management tool to move licenses among any number of computers.  We recommend that however many licenses you have is how many users will be using it at the same time.

Land F/X makes using AutoCAD easy.  You're still within AutoCAD and using AutoCAD features, Land F/X is just allowing AutoCAD to work for you, instead of you adjusting to it.  Moreover, the intuitive design of the software, and the extreme efficiency are why most users report that they completed their first project with Land F/X in about a third of the time it would have normally taken them.

We do have weekly training webinars every Friday, varying on different subjects from basic AutoCAD skills to advanced implementation concepts.  We do record all webinars and post them to our video page so you can view them later at your convenience.

Supporting an irrigation license requires an intense amount of effort on our part, in adding incredibly advanced additional functionality, while maintaining the vast equipment database, and responding to highly complicated technical support requests.  If anything, a user who is only using the software for irrigation design is technically more expensive for us to support than a landscape architect who is doing planting one day and irrigation the next.

No, the software will continue to operate in nearly every respect if you do not pay the renewal.  However, it is worth noting why over 95% of our clients happily pay their license renewal each year -- we issue an update to the software every week, containing little tweaks and new features.  Our weekly webinars allow interacting with the presenter.  We offer unlimited telephone-based technical support.  Our online databases are constantly being added to and improved -- these include the plant database, irrigation equipment database, site amenity database, lighting equipment database, and SketchUp component library.
