Position Description (Landscape Designer):
Qualified candidates should be proficient with AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketchup. Experience with Land F/X is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited landscape architecture program is required.
The successful candidate will work in a collaborative atmosphere shared by drafters, engineers, land surveyors, landscape architects, and planners. The firm’s primary objective is to utilize knowledge, creativity, vision, and sustainability as tools to produce superior and innovative design that satisfy client needs and improves communities.
Team members interact with other team members, clients, contractors, and government agencies. Concise and clear communication skills are key fundamentals for providing clients with reliable, insightful and attentive service.
A Landscape Designer will assist Project Managers with developing site designs, project plans and specifications, horizontal control plans, furnishings and finishes plans, grading and erosion control plans, irrigation plans, and planting plans. Communication between clients, sub-consultants, contractors, local municipalities and state regulatory agencies is also expected both written and orally.
Most projects are located within Northern California. Current design projects include design and development of parks, playgrounds, recreational spaces, commercial campuses, healthcare facilities, public right-of-way landscapes and more. Compensation for the position is based on education, knowledge, skills, attitude, and experience.
This position will be staffed from our Modesto or Pleasanton office.
