Double-check. Try opening that old project in a blank drawing and confirm that there are plants in the plant manager, and specifically if you're clicking the import button on the tree category, make sure there's trees in the tree category in the old project.

Usually the only reason for a project to not show up in the list of projects to choose from in import plant is because there's no plants in that old project to import.
