It's probably obvious. But not to me. Why is the option to show symbol for lengths not available in the RefNote Schedule? That layer has a linetype and layer color assigned. The scale is also assigned for the schedule. So, why can the program add a simple line [to fit] that matches that layer?

Our workaround is to do just that. But when the schedule is regenerated....... You know what happens.

This is scheduled to be addressed with our overhaul of the RefNote Schedule early next year.
It’s a little more involved than you surmise. For instance the layer might be associated with a Railing/Wall/Fence. Or it could be a layer in an xref, and there are issues with copying a linetype from an xref into the drawing. Lastly, for the Wiring in the Lighting Schedule, we found the line segment had to be a bit wider to account for all linetypes, so the symbol column will need to be enlarged.
But all coming next year!

That sounds exciting. Yes. It's never as easy as we users think that it may be. For instance. we may assign a width to the polyline rather than using a color (I know. Probably a bad idea. We do it with our mainline too.) In those cases, how would the schedule know the width that is used for the polylines on that layer? Keep up the good work! It's good to have things to look forward to.
For that you should use the Railing/Wall/Fence tool.
And if it doesn’t have exactly the style you are after, let us know, as that tool is getting freshened next year as well.

I’ll give it a look see. Thanks.
