I got sloppy with my project organization one day recently and am encountering an issue with projects assigned to a dwg. I use an autocad template when I start my residential jobs and recently noticed that whenever I "save as" my autocad template that it also brings in an lfx project with it into the folder. The best I can come up with is that early is this follower job rather than "saving as" my .dwg I accidentally "saved" the job and subsequently the landfx project to it. Now I keep screwing up that original project. Is there anyway I can disassociate this landfx project from my Autocad template?

You bet. You can type HYPERLINKBASE at the command line, and enter a period (.) to reset it to blank.
Then overwrite your template, and you will be set!

Thank you J! It is working now with those steps in order. Have a great weekend!

Zach,

That is the project association. Without some more detailed information on what exact steps you took, or how you are judging it to not be working, I can't say much.
It should be as easy as:
- open file
- HYPERLINKBASE, .
- Close and save file
- Reopen file
- Going to any manager will prompt for project

Thanks for the quick reply! Our templates our "dwg" not "dwt" files which might be where the issue comes from?

In my template folder I have 10 "dwg" as templates and they must have been saved over by a file that had a landfx project assigned. That is why I need to dissociate the project from it in this template folder. I followed the steps hyperlinkbase and "." and it worked for about half of them.

Zach,

It absolutely does work. If you could possibly share some more detail, then I might form an idea.

Hey Jeremiah,

Same issue here, but sometimes HYPERLINKBASE and "." doesn't seem to reset it to blank. Any ideas why?
