Base Bid vs. Add Alternatives

A project I am working on has an area that is designated as an add alt (if the bids come in low enough this additional area will be included with the overall project). Is there a way to separate out the plant (and irrigation) quantities from the overall base bid? I tried using the Work Area tool but that didn't work. Thank you.

Hussein, The Work Area tool absolutely would be the way to do this. What steps were you taking? After creating the work area, when you generate a new schedule, it will ask you to select a work area, and generate quantities for only within that area. --J
