Having issues generating a runtime or watering schedule for areas with drip emitters - it says precip rate is unknown. How do we enter the precip rate / where does landfx pull the precip rate data from?

Katie,

That's odd, in that we recently changed the way those work, no longer exiting with that message.  When I create a similar test, I am able to run both reports, albeit with a Precip Rate of 0.

The issue here, is that you have a drip emitter area, with individually placed emitters.  There's nothing wrong with that, it is just a peculiarity of the code -- it seems it scans for plants to assign emitters to, then calculates the precip rate (using the canopy of the plants as the area), and then finally adds the additional GPH of any individual emitters.  So in short, it is not taking the individually placed emitters into account for the precip rate calculations.  This can certainly be improved.

In the meantime, you should be able to send the Watering Schedule to Excel, where you can manually override the Precip Rate.  Alternately, the Runtime Schedule should let you assign Minutes to the drip valves, just not Inches.
