...dynamic blocks, maybe? Anyhow, when placing a shut-off valve, you place it, then rotate it into position. Can we have this with the backflow, meter, and POC symbols? More often than not I need to align those symbols something other and perfectly left-right. This would be great for placing those piped symbols that are not perfectly symmetrical. Or is there something in preferences I'm missing?

Thanks!
Tom,
It's a fairly simple reason. We just felt that shut-off valves deserved to be rotated and all others were ok being fixed. We have heard it from enough users to earn a spot on our wishlist so as I said before, we do have plans on allowing the block to have a manual rotation when setting the block into the design.

Tom,
As of now there is not a way to do this. This has been brought up for rotating valves and mainline equipment to match the orientation of the pipe. We are looking into the best solution for doing this. Your thoughts on making these blocks just support a manual rotation? This way you could position them as you see fit. Or would you be looking to set/match a specific line orientation?

Mainly it's about matching a pipe orientation, but being able to align a controller symbol with a wall would be nice, too. Of course, I rotate symbols manually after placing them.

Shut-off valves rotate after placing them on the main line--what makes them different from other ML equipment?

Glad you're working on it!
