You'll have to excuse this project attached, I'm just copying into CAD what someone else has hand-drawn, forcing the program to use non-database products, and manually sizing pipe per the hand drawing. Doing it all the wrong way. But it did show me something interesting.

We have on-site and off-site systems: 3 types of laterals, 2 mainlines, and 2 sleeves. It doesn't matter what product I pick from the pipe dropdown options, because I'm overwriting the text with what the product should actually be and not using the flow data you've provided. What I've noticed is that when I switch classes using lateral lines, it's showing the text from the dropdown menu as the class description. Conversely, when I switch classes for sleeving, it shows my overwritten text instead of the text from the dropdown as the class description.

In this case I like that the sleeve showed my overwritten text. But shouldn't it reference one field - either the dropdown or the text field - consistently?

Julie,
Yes, it should definitely be consistent. We have put it on the list to address. Thanks for letting us know!
