Good Day All,

Dear Land F/X TEAM,

Can we please add a new valve call out which includes the controller & POC tags?

Can it be different options of valve call out as follows:

1- To add controller tag to the current valve callout
2- To add Poc tag to the current valve callout
3- To add both controller & poc tags to the current valve callout

There are some projects that we need to add either the controller or the POC tag to the valve call out or both them.

Best Regards,
Nibal

Hi Nibal,

Thanks for reaching out about this. We agree, it's a good idea to be able to include the POC tag as an attribute to the valve callout. We have this addition now noted and plan to try to implement it sometime this year.

As for the controller tag, that is already available. When calling out your valves, the first section at the top of the valve callout dialog is for the controller, which also has a dropdown for choosing placed controllers in your drawing, and delimiter options by selecting the ellipses button next to the controller option. If you are looking for another option to list the controller with the valve callout, feel free to share some more information with us on what that may be, and send some examples of what you expect it to look like.

Good evening Cole,
Yes I could call out the valves with the controller but I would prefer the controller tag to be separate from the valve number tag.
What I noticed that when I choose the controller in the valve callout it would reflected as an addition to the valve number and this will be unfit in the valve number space.

For example
Valve number is 100Dl
as Dl for dripline valve
Assigned to controller A(CA)
The valve number will be visible as follows
CA.100Dl

There is no enough space for such numbering.

And would like to ask why we can't use number for the controllers definitions in the valve callout, like C1, C2 , etc... it only allows Letters.
Hi Nibal,

Yes, we could take a look at that and consider an additional controller attribute separate from the station (valve) number. However, I do want to mention that if the sole reason you want this is due to space restraints in the current valve callout, you have the flexibility to customize the callout block to your desired shape and size to accommodate the size of your valve number with the controller included.

Also, instead of including the zone's type of equipment in the station number, have you considered adding an additional "type" attribute to your callout? If you add this attribute to your callout, it will automatically list the equipment type that is connected to your valve when you size the zones.

Hi Nibal,

Sorry about that. We'll update that link. The link should take you here: Adding Attributes to Valve Callout Dynamic Blocks
