We often specify data cable and two-wire paths (CAT 5, CAT 6, PE89, etc) on our irrigation plans. Could you please add this to the Auxiliary Equipment so that we could include these line types in the legend?
Cheers,

Sean,
We do not currently have that as a feature within the Irrigation portion of the software. We would suggest that the wire lengths and linetypes be handled in our RefNote section of the program. There you will be able to assign a Length item to a specific layer and get costs and counts generated through running a RefNote schedule. We do have it on the wishlist to handle wire lengths in a little more detail, it's just less of a priority at the moment.
Another agency is asking is to show this. This makes quite a few agencies requiring it lately: Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD), the City of Irvine, The City of Laguna Beach, The City of San Diego and the City of Redondo Beach and now Clatrans. We end up adding it as a reference note, but then we have to generate another schedule, locate it on the plan somewhere even though it’s a separate format and then have to remember to update two separate schedules. It looks weird having a whole irrigation legend and then a small separate schedule for the irrigation control wires. Weird like it was an afterthought. It just doesn’t make any sense. Like you build a whole house and forget a front access point so you add a door that doesn't match the house style and you paint it a different color so that everyone can tell that it wasn't part of the original design. I know that I’ve been asking for this for a while, but today's request from Caltrans reminded me to rattle the cage again.
I also moved this request to the "Data Cable" heading from the pipe size request since I figured that it may have gotten forgotten there.
We sure wold like to have this included in our irrigation schedule. Any progress yet? The com line or control wires do not always follow the mainline.
Steve,

It is on the list to be addressed in November.
