Is there any way to turn off that annoying sheet association thingy? I just want to place details and number them. I'm guessing this has something also to do with the reference notes system? Anyhow, I'm a pretty simple user of Land FX--I have no need (so far, after 5+ years) of extensive, inter-related call-outs, notes, details, and sheet references.

I'm not sure what you are referring to that is annoying.
When you place the first detail onto a sheet, you will need to assign the sheet if it hasn't been already.
If you are then copying a layout after a sheet has been assigned to it, you may be receiving a message confirming that you want to reassign the sheet.
In any case, you can avoid these by going to the Project Manager screen ahead of time, and assigning the proper sheet to the layout tab.
