URBAN ARENA is immediately seeking a full-time, Entry Level CAD Draftsperson for our multi-disciplinary firm on the cutting edge of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Architectural design in our San Diego office. Our firm has offices located in throughout California staffed with a diverse group of professionals working on an exciting range of projects including Urban Villages, Retail & Entertainment Centers, Model Homes, Master-Planned Residential Communities, Community Parks, and High-Density Housing.

To be considered, your application and materials must show the following minimum qualifications:

Purpose Statement/s:
The job of 'Entry Level CAD Draftsperson’ is done for the purpose/s of planning, drafting, designing, and participating in the generating of professional level landscape architecture documentation packages which include landscape construction documents, planting plans and irrigation design plans.

Experience Required:
One (1) -three (3) years prior job related school or work experience with increasing levels of responsibilities, preferably in a design setting.

Skills and Abilities Required:
Proficient with AutoCAD
Ability to follow written and oral directions
Experience with Windows Operating System
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
Work independently and with minimal supervision
Adjust to flexible assignments, often with short notice
Communicate effectively with clients, consultants and staff
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Knowledge of additional programs such as Land F/X and SketchUp a plus, but not required

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:
Valid California Driver's License and evidence of insurance

Essential Job Functions:
Under the direction of higher-level staff, work in an office setting with the landscape architecture production staff. Plans, drafts, designs, schedules, and participates in the generating of professional level landscape documentation packages and irrigation design plans for assigned projects. Inspects completed work for accuracy and compliance with instructions and established standards. Prepares and maintains a variety of routine reports and records. Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
