Is there a way to exclude shrubs when placing multiple hatches using the ground cover tool? I'd like to exclude an entire area  (for example, a basin) within my ground cover hatch area but am not able to exclude the shrubs if I select multiple.

Is there a work around for this?

Jerrica, no, you can't exclude shrubs while using the multiple option.

The fastest way to do this would be to place the hatch and exclude the shrubs first. Then select the hatch, and in the hatch editor ribbon choose to select additional boundaries, and then choose your polylines that you were going to use with the multiple option. They'll be excluded, and won't count in any quantity totals.
