I am using 4" pots of grasses spaced at 12" as a groundcover. I have noticed that even when I "exclude shrubs", the quantity for the groundcover includes the area of the shrubs. This is adding about 100 plants to my quantities of the groundcover grasses, and a huge expense. I'm glad I noticed before putting this out to bid. One would assume the groundcover hatch visible would be the quantity reflected in the schedule. How do I fix this?

OK - so I am correct to assume that groundcover quantities with shrubs excluded should indeed only reflect the area hatched?
