I am looking for a solution to show existing trees in a plan.  I am curently using generic plant blocks for existing trees, and actual plants for new proposed trees.  The issue here is that I then need to draw an individual leader for these existing plants, and they do not colorize with the render.

It seems that if I use a landFX plant block to show this plant, it will then appear on a plant schedule when I add that for the existing plants in the area.  is there a way to use a LandFX plant block and have that specific plant be excluded from the schedule?

Thanks

We actually have a short video on some great options for showing existing plants: Power Tip: Existing Tree Massing.

If you do choose to use plants or concept plants, you have some options to create a separate schedule:

1. Add the existing trees in a separate file, and run the schedule there. That file can be xrefed into your final planting plan: Power Tip: How to Cross Reference Plans.

2. Use the highlight tool to select all of your existing trees, and move them onto a unique layer, like LP-TREE-EXISTING. Then you can freeze that layer, or the regular LP-TREE layer to control what gets picked up by the schedule. Like most Land F/X tools, freezing a object will hide it from our commands.
