Our standard valve callout includes a hydrozone designation ((H)igh, (M)edium or (L)ow) and precipitation rate in addition to Valve number, size and flow. How can I add fields for hydrozone and precip rate to customized versions of LandFX's valve callouts? I assume that Hydrozone designation will need to be entered manually, but if there is a way to extract the precip rate from the equipment data to autopopulate the callout that would be great.

Thank you,

Ok guys, if you haven't tried or seen it already, we have just released the latest update that allows the PRECIP tag as a viable tag to put in your valve callout. Have fun with it!

Daniel,
I have provided a couple of links below on how to customize your valve callouts. Your assumption is correct on the Hydrozone attribute, however, you can still put that desired attribute within the callout blocks and once placed into the drawing, all you will need to do is double click the valve callout and enter the desired Hydrozone designation there.

Regarding the Precip attribute, we currently do not have that supported as an automated option. However, it is one that we will create and allow. Give us a couple weeks to get it in and update the documentation so you can add. We are thinking that the tag will be PRECIP, so if you would like to pre-create your callouts with this attribute you will be good to go once we add that functionality.

Please let us know if you have any further questions and we would be happy to help you out.

Attribute Definitions For Valve Callouts
Daniel Miller,

Thanks so much for this suggestion. We may be going to that tag too. One thing that I'm excited about it that the valve schedule will be showing the area that the valve is serving as well as the precipitation rate. I thought that we were going to have to export it as a spreadsheet and then add the L,M,H categories and then bring it back into the drawing manually
But what if the valve tag included a plant factor attribute. Couldn't the valve schedule command be tweaked to read that user input field? Would that be great or what?

BTW, that seems like the easy part compared to determining the area served per valve. For instance if the design includes triangular or square spacing covering the same area from separate laterals, the area of shared coverage needs to be divided between the two areas so that the individual valves total area covered matches the project's total irrigated landscape area. My brain struggles to describe the problem much less solve it. the people at LandFX are truly wizards.

We're getting closer and closer to LandFX generating our MWELO calculations for us aren't we? Hip, hip, hooray!

Daniel,

We have already converted to an extended irrigation valve call-out and applied our own attributes to it. Check out these screen shots attached below. Once the Land FX team rolls out the additional options, our call-outs will easily get auto-filled with just a couple modifications if necessary.

That is Awesome! Great job! I can't wait for that to auto-populate for you. It's going to be GREAT!:D
CadMonkey,
If you've filled out the HZ in the tag, will it include it already in the Valve Schedule? I'm wondering if LandFX has already included this element to the Schedule and we just don't have it show up because our valves don't have that attribute.
Please let me know, we'll be switching out our tags for our current projects.

Steve,

Hello neighbor! It does not include it at the moment but I expect that it will once they update Land FX with the new options in the columns portion of the Valve Schedule.
