Any chance of being able to convert a pline to a pipe
Michael,

Can you walk us through the usage scenario?
It would certainly be quite easy to read in a polyline to use as points for pipe. But typically when people ask for this, they also want it to automatically connect to any equipment it is crossing.
We have just found that by the time the mainline is drawn, any initial schematic layout polyline is close, but not always exactly where we end up putting the mainline. But, I'd like to hear your example and how you envision it working.

I like a our irrigation plans to not only work, but to look good. I don't like the jagged main line or non-parallel look. We are constantly off-setting building lines, curb lines etc to locate main lines to get a clean look whether it works like that in the field or not. Architects like it. So instead of off-setting a pline, then changing to a non-plt mainline layer, then placing all the valves on the line and then re-tracing back over with main line connecting all the valves. I would like to offset a pline, click on the line and have it convert to a mainline on the mainline layer then continue placing valves etc. Saving a couple of steps.

Mike
Michael,

In that case, just use the X keyboard option to set the Xhair angle to a building or curb line, and draw the mainline aligned as such.
That should save even more steps!
