A dumb question. Is there a fundamental difference between working with UCS through LandFX menu tools versu AutoCAD's native UCS settings or are these two ways to get the same results?

This is actually not a dumb question, it is a very valid thing to ask. The ultimate thing to remember is that Land F/X is plugging in and harnessing AutoCAD tools and functionality. However, Land F/X takes these tools and processes and makes them drastically easier and faster to use. Please see the link below on the documentation on using our UCS tool, and note the video at the top/right of the page that shows how to use the UCS tool.
Creating a User Coordinate System (UCS)
Once you have your UCS set up, you can toggle between them much faster with our Restore UCS Tool.
