I like it and I hate it. I hate it because is "disconnects" the main line from the system. IOW, it'll make the system think that the ML is actually broken.

I'll spend the time to clean up the drawing, putting ML breaks where needed. If I then need to re-size the ML, it's all eff'd up. I have to go back through and reconnect everything to get accurate sizing and and accurate materials take-off.

This maybe should've gone into the Rabid Ranting section.

Tom,
Can you confirm you are doing the same steps shown in the following documentation link?
https://www.landfx.com/index.php/docs/irrigation/piping/item/193-mainline-piping.html#mainline_break

If you could also send in the drawing you are having issues with, that might help us see what is going on. I was able to use the tool without hurting the pipes so I want to make sure we have a better understanding of what you might be dealing with.

I received the files, reviewed and found your issue. It has nothing to do with the Mainline break tool actually. It's a simple mistake of not connecting certain valves up to your mainline. Running a verify mainline check would have highlighted your valves not connected to your mainline. I will give you a call so we can go over it.
For those of you observing:

Jake called me almost immediately and we worked through the problem. Gotta love that service!

What we discovered is that I might be going too fast when I insert these breaks, causing some sort of glitch in the system. "Verfiy Mainline" will show all things connected before using mainline break, but after it will not. Something will happen at a fitting or valve, disconnecting the mainline.

I click the the pick box on the main, insert the break, and right click to start the next break insertion pretty quickly. Somewhere in that process things are getting screwed up. So I'll try to slow down.

Has anyone else encountered this?
