I have a POC about 90' higher up a slope than a manual control valve, POC pressure is 48psi to start. I assigned an elevation to the manual control valve (-90) using View Data, and then ran the Critical Analysis. The pressure available at critical station is still only showing the starting pressure at the POC, it does not include the additional pressure gained from the slope (I expect an additional .43psi/ft x 90' elev btwn POC and valve = 38.7psi + 48psi original at POC - misc = ~86psi). I attempted to use spot elevations instead (first time, no guarantees I did it correctly), and the critical analysis is still not showing the correct pressure.
I had expected to see a pressure loss for the mainline represented as a negative, given the slope from the POC gains us significant pressure. What am I missing?
Thanks!
Julie
