I'd like the irrigation verify to recognize lateral and mainline pipe crossings, just as it does lateral crossings. In recognition that some may not want to show a jump line at these locations (rather depending on the various line types or line weight to do this) the program should perform the command just as the verify plant labels command works. The verify labels does not let the user know that trees are not labeled if the user has not labeled any trees. But as soon as the user tags a single tree, the program will include trees in the label verification process. Likewise, if the user uses a single pipe hop to address a lateral and mainline conflict, the program should assume that the user would like all conflicts to be treated the same.

The biggest issue with this, is how to handle the dashed linetype of the mainline. As it is currently, it will see any crossing as an overlap, even if the dashed mainline has a gap at that point. The new setting of 2018, which allows selecting a linetype gap, would mean we would have to somehow turn this setting off first, and then see if there is a clickable mainline segment at that point.
So, probably could be done, just a very large jump in complexity to what the system is currently doing.
Duly noted!

For us, we'd like to have a hop even if it went over a dash. Or even if you could see that they don't actually connect. I understand though. There are things like being able to point to a different server (not a drive) for a details folder that are much more important, but we'll let that details folder issue sleep for a few weeks. You're probable scrambling to tie up any loose ends for this weekend's ASLA show. I'll see you there!
