We have a project in which we would like to analyze the hydraulics (pressure loss) connecting at a different location. We have Meter, backflow, MV/FS and Booster Pump coming into a Tee to the rest of the mainline and would like to move that whole manifold further east along the mainline. Since we have run lateral and mainline sizing, what is the best way to move this equipment without losing data integrity.
Daniel,
Without seeing the exact setup, I would think you should be safe just deleting the one section of mainline that goes from the tee to the end of the manifold. Select all of the manifold and move it to the new location, then pipe a new section of mainline from the tee fitting to the manifold. Resize the mainline and all should be good to go.
