Similar to the MP Rotators, when you place a head and right click it, it places as a full circle. The very next head, you can just set the arc, then set another full circle, etc. And toggle up and down through nozzle sets.
How about adding this feature to the Rain Bird rotaries? Having to stop setting R-Vans, open the menu, select the full circle, then repeat when done with the full circle (yes, I know, and I use the match head feature all the time) is a pain.
Similarly, how about adding to Rain Bird's U-series and HE-VAN nozzles? These are only available in the 8- to 15-foot range, but when I use these on a system, I also use the standard 5' and 18' VAN all the time. In order to do so, I have to set up second head types, and switch back and forth. Another pain. Yes, I know how the catalog has things set up, but the 5' standard MPR and the 18' VAN match the precip rate of the U-series and HE-VANs.

Agreed, similar to the MP Rotator. But for the MP's, it is not a different model entirely, which is why it is not currently implemented for the Rain Bird's -- as you hint at, there is an ever growing list of nozzles that would this sort of Smart Full Switching ability.
It is on our todo list, and should be implemented within no more than a couple months.
