PIPE IS NOT SIZED

It sounds like there is something wrong with how you piped those areas. You should be able to hunt those sections of pipe down with the Highlight Station tool or Move Piped Equipment, to see if there is something drawn weird with those areas. The Power Tip linked below will walk you through a few neat troubleshooting techniques that will generally get you to a resolution. If after following these steps you are still unable to get the result you are looking for, go ahead and start a tech support ticket for us and get us those files to take a look at.

Good morning Jake,

I just watched the power tip of the irrigation troubleshooting, and I draw a piece of the mainline at the side of the plan, and I did highlight it , and I noticed that it only highlight the part of the mainline that refused to be sized.

then I had a look at the pipe data, I noticed also that there was another type of mainline which is exactly the same type of the unsized pipe as shown in my irrigation schedule..

what I did now, I removed this type from the pipe data and kept only the one I need, but still having the same problem:( ..

I sent a technical support ticket.

I just tried this..
I played around it, and used the match properties tool, to match the unsized part of the mainline, and then sized the mainline, and all the parts now sized .

but still have one issue that whenever I draw a new piece of the mainline at the side of the plan, and highlight it, it will only highlight the unsized part:( .
it won't highlight the sized part.
So am pretty sure that there is still something going wrong.

It looks like everything is working based on the files you sent in. The portion of mainline not sizing is because the pipes did not have any flow or pressure downstream of your last valve, where the pipe is simply connected into a shut-off valve. Since this shut-off valve was indicating the tie in to another floor, you could have used a CAP to indicate the other floors demands, and the system would have sized the pipes just fine.

As far as the use of match properties on the unsized pipe to enable the use of the pipe label tool, that is fine, but just know there were no crosschecks that the system did to ensure the size you matched will work on those sections of pipe based on the real demands needed for those sections of pipe.

As explained in your ticket response, the Highlight tool functions in a few different ways-
1: When clicking on items that are connected to other items (heads piped together, or pipe connected together), everything will highlight to show what is connected.
2: When clicking on single items (not connected to anything), only that type of item will be highlighted through the plan. So, if there is no other unsized pipes except the one you are clicking on, then only that one will highlight. If you want to highlight a certain size of pipe in the drawing, you will need to make sure there is a single section of pipe not connected to anything, edit that section to the desired size, then use highlight.
