My plant labels are visible in model space, but disappear in paper space. I've turned off annotation and tried changing the layer the labels are on. I've even imported a label from a different project and pasted it into my current project into model space. Same problem. I'd appreciate some ideas! Thanks.

Try creating a new viewport, to see if they are visible there. If so, then it's a viewport override.
