I cannot copy or label any plants I've placed in Revit 2024 and 2025. I get a pop up reading 'Planting F/X: This is not a Land F/X Plant'.
The correct shared parameters file is linked. I am not selecting the family beneath it the plant. I've tried mimicing the plant and editing the plant. I've tried to change the plant symbol and replace it then label. Still get the error message saying 'This is not a Land F/X Plant.'
I have opened the same Land F/X Project in Revit 2022, and I do not have these error messages on those programs. Only in Revit 2024 and 2025. I have even loaded in the shared parameters .txt file from previous versions of Revit and that has not worked either.

Hi Victor, are you on the latest Planting F/X Revit version 2.11? From your troubleshooting notes, I suspect you've already gone through this documentation page:

There was a recent bug after the switch from instance parameters to type parameters where the plugin's ability to see if a project still had instance LAFX parameters got confused if there were no Land F/X plants placed at all, and would attempt to fill in non-existent type parameters if a new plant was placed. These of course would not fill in.
The "not a plant" comes from attempting to read the LAFX Object Type Parameter. It must say "PLANT" for Planting F/X to recognize it as one of ours, and the absence of that entry will trigger the "not a plant" message, no matter the contents of all the other LAFX parameters.
For this drawing, you will need to follow this page, but unfortunately with Planting F/X being unable to recognize the plants, you can't use the 3D connection workflow to fix all plants. But you can still delete all the parameters and that should trigger the drawing to switch to type parameters, then Mimic should work to fix the parameter data in placed plants.

Hey Amanda! We figured it out, we had to:
(1) Delete any existing plants from the models that weren't being recognized.
(2) In Project Parameters, we deleted all LAFX parameters.
(3) Sync/Save the Revit Model and completely close Revit.
(4) Reopen Revit and the Project in question, then, switch the Land F/X project to another, THEN, back to the original project.
This fixed all Land F/X related issues for all of us.
EXCEPT, one of my team can't assign groundcovers to floors still, and gets the popup attached.

For that one team member, can they place a groundcover onto a floor in a completely blank model created from the original Revit Imperial or Metric template files?

Did you ever change it back, or could this be the issue on this person's computer? Maybe this user linked a copy of the shared parameters file to somewhere other than the new default install location (which is what it should be).
