Was wondering if there is a way to plot sub categories for planting legends, we often put vine and or accent planting planting on our tree plan or on a separate plan depending on how complex and scale of the planting. We often put just the tree schedule on the plan and then viewport cut the vines and/or accents off the shrubs, is there a way to plot the sub categories (of trees or shrubs such as vines, or accents, or palms) as separate planting schedules? we have a work around with putting the schedule in model space and citing separate viewports for the different categories, however if we add or subtract any plant materials the legend shifts and we have to reconfigure all the viewport, or at least do one page and then cut and paste the corrected planting legends.

i know it is a small issue, however since there is the capability to do the large categories by themselves maybe there is a better work around or way of doing the legends.

Thanks... and as always i wouldn't know what to do with myself if it was not for LandFX.

Hi Bob,

Using a viewport is the best method to create a schedule of just a plant subcategory as of now.

It's on our list for future improvements, though, to be able to create a schedule of just a sub-category. Thanks for letting us know that you're interested in a feature like this!
