I can't find where the text size for the spot elevations is in the preferences. We need to change it. Anyone?
This is controlled by the Callout Light text style.
But if you have already placed some, you will instead want to edit the MLeader Style, where you can see the Text height on the Content tab, that was copied from the Callout Light preference setting.

That's great Jer. I've set it in the preferences for future use and I've modified the MLeader style in this drawing. Thanks for the swift reply and advice.
