Hello,

Does anyone know if there's a way to do linear counts on a line for a hedgerow or do I have to place objects for the hedge itself in order for LandFX to calculate quantities?  For example, if there's a hedge along a 200' wall we usually offset the line 24" and then label inside that boundary for the hedge including by (in this case) dividing 200' by 2'.  If we use LandFX there does not seem to be a way to do linear counts.

Thank you!

Vanessa

Venessa,

No, there isn't a way to do a linear count in a shrub area, other than adjusting the spacing to get the desired quantity or setting the entire drawing spacing setting to rectangular to make this easier:

Rectangular Spacing

The best method is to copy a shrub symbol along a polyline and use plant outlines.

Power Tip: Copy Along Path Tools

It is on our wishlist radar to look into hedge spacing for shrub areas.
