It would be great to have additional spacing options for the railing linetypes. Right now the railing/fence posts are located at an even interval based on the line or polyline segment length, but not the exact length entered.
Something along the lines of a spacing option for "actual length" entered or "evenly divided" for the post spacing. The actual length would be helpful in a situation where you would prefer to keep all fence panels at an even length (e.g. 6'-0") but the last panel in the run would be shorter/longer to hit the total length of run.

We have a good collection of wishlist items for the Railing item, and this is definitely one of them. As well, we will be adding the ability to control the width of the posts. Also better control for arc segments, and ignoring segments shorter than a certain threshold. The ability to assign a rail type to a RefNote Length, and automatically applying it to the specified layer.
We should be able to get to these later this year, so stay tuned!
