I would love to see Land F/X utilize its existing tools to create a conceptual rain garden design feature like it has for irrigation design - this would be a lot of work but might include soil types with infiltration rates, plant types for different wet zones, the capability to plug in a flow rate with the designed features/rain gardens based on those plants and soil properties to test if the rain gardens will meet the need at the conceptual level. Obviously this can become very technical but many times we are creating concepts that give estimated values in initial design stages. Food for thought for future Land F/X features....
Danielle,

Very good ideas.
We do have a wishlist item to assist with rainwater calculations. It will probably get integrated into the Schematic Irrigation tool. It was to allow for specifying a roof material and slope of roof, as well as soil type.
We are also working on adding more fields to the plant database, and water uptake would be a good one.
This also might work well as a webinar, particularly as it may involve patching together different capabilities of the software in slighting different ways than they were designed for.
