Hi I have successfully installed CADFX and Land FX but when I go to insert my old CAD drawings they are locked and read only files. Have gone into properties to change the attributes but keeps the read only on on the folders and when inserted to my new system it is read only and there is a lock symbol next to the name of the tab/file.

Thankyou. What I have done is put them on an external hard drive and accesses them from there with no problems at the moment. So far work...

This sounds like an issue with whatever drive or location you have the files stored on.
Are you able to start a blank drawing, and save it to your drawing location?
