Is it currently possible (or even remotely feasible) to add more detail to both reference note and keynote codes. These are both limited to six digits, I believe. I know you've rolled out some new features on reference notes, and I am starting to use them more and more. I would like to be able to set up my reference note and keynote systems to work fully with the CSI classifications (6 to 8 digit codes) with some sort of modifier at the end as per the NCS reference notes guidelines.
My gripe with the current limitation is this: If, for instance, I am going to notes related to Unit Paving, which is CSI Section 32 14, in the ref note dialogue box I am able to enter "32" as Division, "14" as Subdivision, and am then left with the ability to add a two digit modifier. I understand that I can just start at "01" and increase that value by one each time I add an additional item/note to this section, but what happens when I reach "13", which would lead to a code of 32 14 13, which in CSI land represents specifically Precast Concrete Unit Paving. This could lead to confusion, because I am technically only classifying by CSI for the first four digits, but there is no way of knowing that by looking at the code. The code appears to represent something very specific.
Am I making any sense? I'm not sure that I've been very clear, but what I want to know is is there a way to expand the Division/Subdivision capability of the refnotes and keynotes to hold more digits?
Thanks so much. I'm totally digging these systems as currently set up, but I can't help but strive for the perfect mousetrap!

We don't use Keynotes, but use the Reference Notes extensively. I hope that the same capability is added to the reference notes too.

Has any of this capability been added?

Typically I do more research before asking a question on this forum, but I'm hoping you'll forgive me this time.
Not yet, sorry.
We did get to embedding the RefNote data into the drawing, to enable copying/pasting RefNote items between drawings, and as a backup when the LFX data is lost.
There were also a number of improvements to the Verify RefNotes function, and of course the porting of the dialog box to a dockable palette.
That leaves the full CSI numbering pretty close to the top of the list.

Looking forward to this. Then an easy way to edit the database to allow for re-identifying once we have the capability to use the CSI (full length + digits). Thanks for your innovation.

There've be a lot of good expanded/improved capabilities lately. I really like the new spot elevations tool. Developing and introducing an expandable reference note and keynote number/division ability would make my year. Please, please, please!!! ;)
It's easy to confuse Jeremiah. Jake, Forrestt et all for the wizards behind the curtain, but Santa? C'mon.

I wish upon a star.

perhaps a Quick Tip video on differences between Ref Notes and Keynotes and how best to use them... please! :)
Still waiting. It will be nice.
I'll see about getting this on the calendar for 2018.

Here, here Seaweed!!! :D :D :D I've been longing for this feature. And thanks in advance, Jeremiah.
Please, please, please... Our details are not being classified, named and organized by CSI. Having refnotes with this capability jsut seems to logical. It would seem that Amanda would have helped tackle this years ago. - Why the wait? (2 years since the first post on this.) Again.... PLEASE?
Current Detail wishlist top priorities:
- Detail Library location stored with Preference Set
- Ability to place a Detail Template in Paperspace for a simple "one-off" detail in a viewport
- Detail Callout, improved text placement and alignment
- Detail Explorer, read in folders automatically, download folder structure on demand
- PHatch
- Sheet Index, link with SheetSet
- RefNote callouts, ability for full 8-digit CSI

August is currently set as the Details wishlist month.

Wassup, y'all?  Any more thoughts about this request?  Thanks!

We will be migrating the current CSI system to something more robust and cloud-based, early next year.

This will follow soon after.

Look for actually a large number of detail-related wishlist items to get completed next year, ahead of the AIA show in May.
