Hello all,

We have a park renovation project on which we are using numbered reference notes to call out the disposition of many existing items on the site. We are currently up to over 43 notes covering the site which spans about six sheets. Currently, we have placed the legend with all 43 keynotes on the first page of the demolition sheet series. The client has asked us to provide a legend on all subsequent sheets so that they don't have to keep looking back to the first page.

We do not have room on every sheet to place the full keynote legend. I also think this would be overkill. As an alternative, I would like to include a legend with only the keynotes that show up on a particular page, but I'm not sure how this would be accomplished. I was thinking perhaps Work areas corresponding to each page's viewport would work, but as we are not using workspaces for anything else I wasn't sure if this would cause issues with other types of sheets (PL or IRR).

I have to believe I'm not the first to want to accomplish something like this so I am reaching out to the group for insight.

Thank you,
Daniel,

That is correct, Work Areas are going to be the solution here:

Thank you, Jeremiah,

We are new to the use of Work Areas in our office. Can work areas be defined AFTER the refnote callouts are placed or do we need to re-place the callouts after defining the work areas?

Thank you,
Yes, a work area can be placed after the fact.
The only aspect of work areas that would need to be placed before callouts, is if you wanted the Layer Suffix applied to the callouts.
