When placing details on sheets (new or existing), they are coming in at 1/12 of the size they should be. I changed the units to see if that was an issue and re-inserted them and they still come in at small scale. What setting am I missing or is anyone else having this issue?

confused on what I broke this time.....

Brandon and I did a screenshare.
The issue does not appear to be related to 2019. The drawings were not corrupt. Confirmed Object ARX was set to command invoke only. Page setup was the correct size/scale.

Editing 1 detail, placing a new template and overwriting the detail, then deleting that detail from the sheet and running PRG before placing it again fixed the issue.

However, that single step also appeared to fix all details placed afterwards. So we're not 100% sure, but the only step in the fix that could have affected everything was running the PRG command. It could have been a lingering defined setting.

But it's fixed now! :D
Brandon, it's likely a unit mismatch between inches and feet.
It can either be actually set to the wrong units, or drawing corruption can be messing up the import scale conversion.

Here's our documentation page with the solution: Details Scaling Incorrectly / Detail Out of Scale When Placed Into a Sheet

-Amanda
Page setup Manager indicates inches and 1:1
DWGUNITS is set to: inches, Scale objects from other drawing is set to No, Match INSUNITS is set to no. Not prompted for scale current drawing to reflect change
options for Object ARX is set to Command invoke and Do not show Proxy graphics.

also, purged the drawing, ran delreggaps, ran audit, purged again.
details still come in at 1/12 of the size they should be.

I opened a new drawing from one of the default templates and have the same issue.

Side note - this is a new workstation compared to when I placed the other details in the drawings but as far as I know I set everything up the same as the last workstation.

Thoughts for next step?
Hi Brandon,
Run NUKE on the detail file itself (you can find it under the details folder indicated in your detail preferences), purge it's block reference from the sheet drawing, then place it back.

Make a copy off to the side on your desktop as a backup before you run NUKE.
Cleaning Files with the Nuke Tool

-Amanda
I have nuked the detail file(s), I have deleted and recreated the sheets themselves (new files). I have nuked and cleaned everything I can find that was in the drawing files of questions.

Old work station with CAD 2018 - I inserted the same details in the same sheets with no problems.

New workstation with CAD 2019 - I delete unnecessary detail and delete and replace other details to rearrange and renumber and now everything is coming in goofy.

With the problem only occurring after changing computers and software editions, is there something in the settings for 2019 that could be causing this?
There are two things that could be different with 2019:
- page setup is probably referencing different PC3 setup files, which could have different settings
- your ObjectARX setting could be Object Detect instead of just Command Invoke.

Object ARX is set to command invoke and no display (mentioned above)
I have also tried to insert on new blank drawings with various page setups (sizes, printers, etc.) and still have the issue.

I have pulled in several random details (not related to this project) to see if the problem affects just the ones recently drawn, all of the details, or what the common thread is. So far, it seems that any detail I add to the project from the "standard" section with the CSI sections inserts at 1/12 of the appropriate size, but when inserting the same detail from under the "FX" portion of the detail manager it comes in fine (sometimes).

For the time being I will plan on inserting the details and then manually scaling them up by 12 until I can figure out what is going on with my machine. I will also see if our other users are having the same problem or not.

Any other thoughts or directions please post, otherwise I will add more information as I discover it.

Thanks for the help thus far.
There is an XML file stored alongside each detail, which contains the scaling information. If we had the sheet file you are inserting into, the PC3 file for good measure, and the detail file along with its xml file, we should be able to replicate.
