Often times, we are asked to provide watering windows and estimated mainline sizing during the DD phase of projects. It would be great to able to place typical irrigation schematic hatches then provide daily water requirements and produce a series of watering windows with their corresponding mainline sizes: 8 HR window w/ 4-IN mainline, 10-HR window w/ 3-IN mainline, 12-HR window w/ 2.5-IN mainline. This would be estimated time and could vary slightly as the system is designed but would allow for clients and designers to get an early idea on valve sizing, zoning, pump requirements, and equipment up front.
Sean,
You will be pleased to know that both of these requests already are available to use! Place your schematic areas, place valves and pipe as you normally would, then size your mainlines as you wish. If you are planning on running more than one valve at a time, we suggest jumping right over to the runtime schedule so you can assign your zones individually. If you plan on running one valve at a time, run the watering schedule.
