When trying to annotate a detail, text generated by the LandFX annotation tools is not consistent. The text generated by the linear dimension, aligned dimension, radius dimension, and angled dimension are consistent with one another and with our office standard. I noticed the text style for these is all Dimension Text.

The two should absolutely be able to produce identical output.
The Leader with Text tool will copy the current Detail Text settings into an MLeader Style.
Meanwhile, the Dimension tools restore that was previously saved.
So what it sounds like happened, is that after saving your dimstyle into Preference, you then changed the Dimension Text setting -- this will not affect any saved Dimstyles, which would need to be re-saved with the desired changes.
Alternately, as both will use the Dimstyle or MLeader Style once created, it is possible that was edited. So it would be best to confirm by testing in a completely blank drawing with a fresh detail template.
